WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT TO YOU BY GEJUMI
WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT TO YOU?
Emmanuel and Bisola were having this heated argument about the Holy Spirit one day, to me it was not an argument about the understanding of the Holy Spirit but a petty squabble about who was more biblically knowledgeable about our friend, the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit can be whom you want him to be to you.
Let’s see this verse,
Ephesians 1:13-14 KJV
13. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14. Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
As soon as you received the life of Christ, after believing in God’s enormous love for you, God gave you an inheritance that you should hold dear, which is the Holy Spirit. He should be your priced possession and that one person you can’t do without. Do not get into arguments with people about the origin or the biblical theology of the Holy Spirit but understand who He is and His purpose in your life.
He is the one that serves as that bridge between you and God that is why you should take a personal relationship with him seriously.
John 15:26 AMP
But when the Comforter(Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who comes (proceeds) from the Father, He( Himself) will testify regarding me.
Taking a look at the verse, the Holy Spirit, is your comforter... amongst many other things. Pertaining to your personality, or whatever you’re passing through, He is always there to help you. Having and developing a personal relationship with God is not overrated, but letting Him work through you is the most overwhelming and euphoric feeling ever. The Holy Spirit wants to commune with you: He wants to reveal things to you.
Do you only ask for help from the Holy Spirit when you need him? Do you only remember that you have this friend, when you’re at crossroads?
Let him be your friend, your gist partner, your prayer guide, your advisor, your strength. There might be times even the best us prefer to have a QUIET TIME with the Holy Spirit letting him guide us through because He is truly dear and there.
I repeat again, He is whom ever you want Him to be.
So I ask you, Who is the Holy Spirit to you?
