LOVE 1(Reciprocating God's Love) by Gejumi
*LOVE 1*
(Reciprocating God’s love)
John 3:16
Imisi gives her life to Christ in her fellowship at an altar call. She gets up forgoing all dismay and discountenance she perceives or feels in her head. She confesses and finally she’s being celebrated in heaven, as a lost sheep who returned home. She has received the unconditional love that God has sowed into her life but she is not willing to reciprocate that love fully; she has school work, house chores, meetings with friend, events to attend but has no time to sit down and think of what to do for God, at least she’s saved that’s the main thing she thinks.
A large number of us are like Imisi. We let our activities take up our time so much that we all say we are preoccupied when asked to do something for God. We go by our usual activities everyday that we forget that God *sowed* *unconditional* *love* at the beginning of our salvation with the intent of *reaping* it back. Most of us like Imisi think that at least, _I’m_ _going_ _to_ _heaven_. God also wants to feel your love too. Imagine if you keep telling your earthly father you love yet you don’t back it up with *action*. It’s when we need help from God that we suddenly remember all his powerful names and his fatherly stance in our lives. We face challenges and wonder why things seem to be hard and we start to inquire why it happens. _But_ _God_ _loves_ _me_, we think. But we don’t think to ourselves if we’re frustrating the grace of God.
You can’t tell God you *love* him without backing it up with *action*.
Galatians 2:21 Amplified Version
[Therefore, I do not treat God's gracious gift as something of minor importance and defeat its very purpose]; I do not set aside and invalidate and frustrate and nullify the grace (unmerited favor) of God. For if justification (righteousness, acquittal from guilt) comes through [observing the ritual of] the Law, then Christ (the Messiah) died groundlessly and to no purpose and in vain. [His death was then wholly superfluous.]
