QUIET TIME
MY NOTE
PASTOR CHRIS' MESSAGE

*A few minute with the Holy Spirit can turn you to an unusual success.
*You must have a quiet time.
*You must have a quiet time more than once
*Every great man or woman in the BIBLE had a quiet time.
*You won't accomplish much without quiet time.
*Quiet time is required for a creative life
An exceptional life in ministry , career and academics.

FOR A PERFECT QUIET TIME ,

1.  Get a quiet place
*Go to a remote area.
*Quiet time is more of the mind thing than a physical thing.
*The people that went to the wilderness or mountain didn't go because God is only in the mountain or wilderness. They went because they wanted to step away from the busy activities.
Matthew 6:6

[6]But when you pray, go into your [most] private room, and, closing the door, pray to your Father....

✓When you're alone , relax yourself completely
✓Get a chair , turn off the lights , bow your head , shut your eyes and remain there
you might spend minutes trying to get yourself in but remain there.

2.  Get a pen and paper because God is going to talk to you
* Getting a pen and paper is an act of faith
HE will not be willing to talk to you because you might lose them
*You can't know what to do if you don't listen.

Question: How would I know if it's God that's talking and not my mind?
Answer: The thoughts of your mind will fade away because of the overpowering manifestation (or strength) of the Word that would cloud your mind. Go for the Word

3.  Speaking in tongues is the fastest way to activate your spirit

1st Corinthians 14:14 KJV
For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful

.
* When your Spirit is activated , your mind becomes unfruitful

# Phronesis

BENEFITS OF QUIET TIME

In a matter of time (and if you're consistent with it) , you'll be ahead of those that don't
* Through quiet time , your spirit would be rightly positioned... Properly Synchronized.
Then you'll be in line with the will of God for your life
* You'll run at the same pace with God
You'll take steps with HIM
✓The will of God is the best place to be in

*You'll experience perfect peace
Shalom...Peace Peace
Not peace of quietness
Frustrations won't have place in you

Isaiah 26:3 KJV
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

You were raised for the Glory of God
No one is , was or would be like you

The pretty girl syndrome (Alyssa) "Alyssa? Who bears Alyssa? Even my name isn't pretty." she whined. She took her phone, opened the Snapchat app, and tried using different filters.
